This reservoir was created following gravel-sand extraction and today serves as a significant recreational centre in the valley of the Vsetínská Bečva river. The location is characterised by crystal-clear water and the scenery of the surrounding mountains of the Chráněná krajinná oblast Beskydy. In the village of Nový Hrozenkov, one can find the Památník Antonína Strnadla with an exhibition of folk architecture. Approximately 7 km away lies Velké Karlovice, where you can visit the Karlovské muzeum and the historical wooden church. The Miloňová lookout tower rises above the valley and is accessible via hiking trails. In the neighbouring town of Karolinka, you will find the Sklářské muzeum and the Stanovnice water reservoir. For lovers of mountain hiking, the Javorníky mountain ridge with the Kohútka peak is within a 10 km range.
