The surroundings of Horní Planá are ideal both for a peaceful holiday by the water and for an active stay in nature. A well-maintained cycling path runs along the entire reservoir, connecting Horní Planá, Frymburk, and Lipno nad Vltavou. It is one of the most popular cycling routes in the Czech Republic thanks to its beautiful views of the water surface and surrounding forests. In Horní Planá itself, guests can also visit the Kynutá buchta bistro café, known for its breakfasts and homemade desserts. There is also the Adalbert Stifter Museum, small shops, and basic services in the town center, ensuring a comfortable stay.
