Hluboká nad Vltavou

Waterslide above the river and swimming just a few steps from a fairytale château

Few swimming pools boast such a unique location. The Koupaliště Hluboká nad Vltavou is situated directly by the Vltava river, in the immediate vicinity of the historic centre and not far from the famous château. The combination of river views, well-maintained grounds, and a distinctive waterslide creates a venue where visitors can fully enjoy a summer day. The complex feels open and airy, yet it remains compact and easy to navigate. Due to its location, it is a popular stop for both locals and tourists alike.

What the complex offers

The main feature is a large swimming pool with marked lanes designed for both recreational and fitness swimming. Connected to it is a more varied recreational pool with a shallower section. A prominent feature of the complex is a spiral waterslide that leads into a separate section of the pool. The facilities also include a smaller children's pool located separately in the rear of the complex. The area surrounding the pools consists of landscaped relaxation spaces with benches and grassy areas. Changing rooms, sanitary facilities, and refreshments are all available.

Who is the swimming pool suitable for

The complex is suitable for families with children thanks to its separate children's area and recreational zone. At the same time, it is appreciated by swimmers looking for a classic swimming pool with lanes. It is ideal for visitors who wish to combine swimming with a trip to one of the most attractive tourist destinations in South Bohemia.

How to get here and what to visit nearby

The swimming pool is located in the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou (South Bohemian Region), near the Vltava river. Access is possible by car, and parking is available in town. The location is also easily accessible on foot from the centre. A visit can be combined with a tour of Zámek Hluboká nad Vltavou, which is one of the most visited monuments in the Czech Republic. Nearby, one can also find the Zoologická zahrada Hluboká (Zoo Ohrada) and the Sportovně-relaxační areál Hluboká, which offers opportunities for walks along the Vltava river. The surrounding area also offers cycle paths that run along the river.
