Museum of František Miroslav Čapek – a folk costume treasure of Blata and a creative legacy of the region

In the heart of Lišov, in the restored Schwarzenberg Hospital, you will find the Museum bearing the name of František Miroslav Čapek – a collector, archivist and honorary native of the town. It was founded as a tribute to his passion for folk costumes and crafts of the South Bohemian region, which he collected and donated. Today the exhibition perfectly combines ethnographic wealth with art, history, and the living heritage of local culture.

The gallery is located above the town, one kilometre from the centre of Třeboň, in the Na Kopečku district, easily accessible by car and public transport, with parking nearby. Tours are provided by the Tourist Information Centre Třeboň, including accompanying programmes in the gallery and in the Zahrada soucitu.
