Furthermore, the museum is part of the popular interactive complex Fantazia (formerly known as Houbový park), where a fairy-tale world full of dinosaurs, gnomes, and creative workshops awaits.

Parking is available at the entrance to Fantazia, where refreshments and toilets can also be found. After a fire in 1570, it underwent a Renaissance reconstruction and at the beginning of the 18th century, it gained Baroque elegance. Its most famous era came during the time of the renowned opera singer Ema Destinnová, who lived here from 1914 to 1930 and gave the chateau its unmistakable atmosphere. Jemčina Chateau – a hunting chateau where history whispers among centuries-old oaks

On the edge of the Třeboň forests, in the village of Jemčina, stands a Baroque hunting chateau from the mid-18th century, built by the Černín family as an elegant hunting residence with a noble chapel. Today the building is closed to the public, but even from the outside it feels like a mysterious pearl, surrounded by an English park full of ancient monumental trees.

• A two-storey, three-winged structure with an honor courtyard in the shape of a U, the original stud farm transformed into a small chateau by architect Lurago

Nature Reserve Losí blato u Mirochova – a peatland jewel of Třeboňsko

In the silence of the swampy forest lies Losí blato u Mirochova – a protected area that, since 1994, has been one of the best-preserved peatland ecosystems in the Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area. The forest peatland complex, interwoven with springs, fens, and remnants of historical drainage canals, preserves rare flora and fauna that would have disappeared elsewhere.
 

What you will find here – life among waterlogged trees

• A peat bog with layers of bog pine and a system of springs, where bog bilberry, bogbean, and sundew grow
• The reserve’s edges are decorated with remnants of drainage structures, now gradually filled in – accompanied by fragments of the old forest character
• Home to endangered species: the cranberry fritillary (a glacial relict), Tengmalm’s owl, Eurasian pygmy owl, red crossbill, and the black stork, which occasionally nests here
• Cycling route no. 1010 passes through the area – ideal for exploring nature without disturbing its fragility (you can find it near the reserve)

You can reach it on foot or by bike along a marked path, with parking available near the beginning of the area. Here you will find authentic forest atmosphere and preserved wetland sections – ideal for peaceful moments and inspiration.
